Professional Lead Inspections, LLC (PLI) was founded in 2005 by Hal Smiler, to perform lead-based paint inspections in residential properties in central Maryland and Washington, DC. Hal retired at the beginning of 2019, and continues to function as an advisor to PLI. During the past 15 years in business, PLI has performed over 10,000 lead inspections in residential dwellings. At present, the professional services offered by PLI for residential properties include hazardous material inspections (lead-based paint, asbestos, mold, and radon), drinking water quality inspections, and indoor air quality inspections. We have a team of trained and experienced professionals consisting of Lead Paint Inspectors and Risk Assessors, AHERA Certified Asbestos Inspectors, Mold Inspectors, and Certified Industrial Hygienists.
